This is an oil painting on primed linen canvas. One August evening, we went to catch a sunset at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, DE. As we sat on the beach, the colors began to give way to stunning blues skipping across the water and sky, and then the light began to beam through the cloud formation, causing an awe-inspiring shimmer upon the water. It was gorgeous! I jumped up with my iphone camera in hand and started snapping photos as fast as possible. The inspiration for the painting was based on a photograph from that evening.
